Dan Started and managed 3 high-tech subsidiaries for American companies in Israel: Kulicke and Soffa (K&S) from Philadelphia, Pa., KLA instrument from Santa Clara, Ca., and Applied Materials from Santa Clara, Ca. All three operated in the field of semiconductor capital equipment. Together they employed to date directly over 2500employees with annual sales out of Israel of two billion dollars.

Dan also managed the BIRD Foundation, an US-Israeli research and development organization for 4 years. The BIRD Foundation supports industrial cooperation between US and Israeli high-tech companies.

Today Dan supports several high-tech companies in different industrial activities. Dan is also an active volunteer in several educational programs such as MadaTech an interactive technical museum in Haifa, Young Entrepreneurs Israel that introduce the industrial concepts to young high school students, and serves as a member of Board of Governors of the Technion.
